    @9:10 Some steps here might be helpful to understand - For example: the Public Key is applied to the HASH to create a signature, and this signature is compared to the signature created by the Private Key of the HSM (I assumed a trusted device)? That does not seem correct. Rather, it seems that the signature created by the HSM (using its private key) needs to be 'decrypted' by the public key then compared to the HASH calculated from the desired FW to be run. If these are equal, then we know the FW has integrity and can be trusted.

    Hi, how can I compile for ATMEGA328PB in eclipse with avr-gcc plugin? I enjoy AVR ATMEGA328P development using eclipse and avr-plugin. I moved to ATMEGA328PB to enjoy the extra peripherals, unfortunate, the only available version of avr-gcc plugin 2.42 does not support ATMEGA328PB. Thanks for reaching out! You will first need to start a new project in order to get to the Harmony download. This video details an older version of MPLAB that not longer fits the same format of MPLAB V6.20. Please start by creating a Application Project. From there, MCC will automatically be initialized, and you can open Harmony. Please take note of the different versions of MPLAB. MPLAB is constantly being updated.

      @MicrochipDeveloperHelp Месяц назад

      Hi there, for the ATSAME51, which is a 32-bit MCU, you'll need to use MCC Harmony. After consulting with our MCU32 product team, we confirmed that there is no native support for MCC Harmony in Microchip Studio. You might be able to use MCC Standalone to generate an MPLAB X project and then import it into Microchip Studio. However, please note that Microchip Studio is no longer being updated, and there are no future development plans for it. We recommend using MPLAB X IDE instead: www.microchip.com/en-us/tools-resources/develop/mplab-x-ide.

Here is an example: "tasks": [ { "label": "build", "type": "shell", "command": "your-build-command", "options": { "cwd": "${workspaceFolder}" }, "problemMatcher": ["$gcc"], "group": { "kind": "build", "isDefault": true }, "detail": "Generated task by Debugger." } ] Clean and rebuild after this. It features differential input and a sample rate of up to 153.6 ksps, making it suitable for capturing high-quality audio signals. However, you will need to implement proper signal conditioning and anti-aliasing filters to ensure the best audio quality. Hope this helps!

      @@MicrochipTechnology hi and thnx for the answer, what you mean with: proper signal conditioning? a Sallen Key Filter is easy to add. looking the datatsheet again you probably should use 2.5 V reference reference, right? how about the negative? i have seen more of these complex adc/dac "chips" and you don't try, scared that mess up with the differential input and it's ends up in the trash.

    Hi, Why it is required to build 2 times to reflect the changes. After, providing the build settings (time - 5:13) - Before the build we have empty fpga_design_config folder then after the build it is filled with generated configuration files - where in src- > boards -> my-iccle-kit-configuration-> fpga_design_config -> clocks -> hw_mss_clks.h - MSS_COREPLEX_CPU_CLK has a value = 600000000 but only after rebuilding the project the value has changed to 300000000 . But, it should have updated in the 1st build itself - Please can you provide an explanation to that

    • @MicrochipDeveloperHelp
      @MicrochipDeveloperHelp Месяц назад

      Hi there, thanks for your question. The requirement to build twice is due to dependency resolution and incremental processes. The initial build generates necessary configs; the second build integrates these changes fully. The clock value update occurs as configurations propagate correctly. If this issue persists, please contact Microchip support for assistance. Microchip.com/CSS. Thank you!

    Sorry, but our company has a strict policy that non-perpetual licences are EVIL, and strictly NOT ALLOWED. So we are going the MikroElektronika path, plus they have Pascal and STM32 support as well.

      Hi, if you need microcontrollers with USB support, consider our PIC18F46J50, PIC32MX570F512L, and SAM D21. These options offer integrated USB functionality for various applications. Hope this helps!

    This is honestly a hot mess. There is no reasonably clear documentation on how to start developing SAM applications without using that ridiculously convoluted and bloated tool called "Harmony". There is NOT HARMONY whatsoever on the development flow, guys. You are NOT making these tools accessible or user-friendly. It is a shame

    tons of noise in my 15x Sharp IR and my professor pushes me to just use software filter techniques, but I really want to just use analog I think it's more robust. What do you think?

    • @MicrochipDeveloperHelp
      @MicrochipDeveloperHelp 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for reaching out! Using analog filters can be more robust for reducing noise in your sensor. Analog filters, like RC filters, can effectively clean up the signal before it reaches the digital stage, making it easier to process. This can be particularly useful for eliminating high-frequency noise and interference, which might be harder to handle with software filters alone. Hope this helps!

      Hi there, thanks for your question! This device is compatible with Linux, Windows 7 or later and MacOSX. You will need to use the compatible IDE - MPLAB X IDE V6.20 is our latest version. However, the PICkit4 is EOL and we do recommend moving to the PICkit 5 or the ICD5.

    i cant find any comprehensive documentation on how to use CAN in harmony v3 with SAMC21J18A anywhere. any advice on this? i got so far as to include and configure the CAN driver in the project graph, but thats when the online instructions end. like, what functions do i use to write on the bus, or how do i set it up in the code? it is surprising that virtually no information on this exists, even though it is crucial to being able to use the application.

      Hi there, thanks for reaching out! To use CAN in Harmony v3 with SAMC21J18A, initialize the CAN module using CANx_Initialize(), transmit messages with CANx_MessageTransmit(), and receive messages with CANx_MessageReceive(). Please feel free to message the Technical Client Success Team if you have any more questions. Microchip.com/CSS. Thanks!
